Publishing + A&R
With executive experience that spans both music publishing and record company A&R, as well as an earlier career as a successful songwriter and record producer, Eric Beall brings a unique perspective to the creative challenges of developing songs and songwriters.
As a senior A&R executive for Zomba Music, Jive Records, Sony/ATV Music, and Shapiro Bernstein & Co., Eric Beall has worked with a wide variety of artists, writers, and producers, ranging from David Guetta and the Script, to Stargate Productions and the Jonas Brothers, and brought in hit songs like “I Gotta Feeling” with the Black Eyed Peas, “Titanium” by David Guetta feat. Sia, “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae, and “Am I Wrong” by Nico & Vinz. Currently, he heads up the international music management and publishing company Adesso, where he’s developed Italian multi-platinum artist Rose Villain, UK songwriter Anne Tello (who topped British charts last year with “Fake Friends” by PS1) and new Sony artist Lita.
Eric brings to his A&R role more than a decade of previous experience as a songwriter and record producer, having written and produced the pop hits “Nothin’ My Love Can’t Fix” for Joey Lawrence (Top 10 Billboard Hot 100) and “Carry On” by Martha Wash (#1 Billboard Dance Chart), as well as songs for Diana Ross, The Jacksons, Safire, Samantha Fox, Brenda K. Starr, and many others.
He is also an author, having penned The Billboard Guide To Writing and Producing Songs That Sell and Making Music Make Money (An Insider’s Guide to Becoming Your Own Music Publisher), which will be re-released in a new edition by Hal Leonard in 2021. In demand as a speaker and facilitator, Eric has spoken at key industry events like SXSW, Amsterdam Dance Event, New Music Seminar, Bogota Music Market in Columbia and the SPOT conference in Denmark. He has led workshops for ASCAP’s “I Create Music” Expo, Medimex, and the Recording Academy.
