Jessie is a performing artist, songwriter and actor with a show-stopping voice that lends to EDM, R&B, gospel, soul, hip hop and rock. A native of Norfolk, VA, her career blossomed as she began writing songs for production company, Black House, and performing in clubs. After touring with Sugar Money, the band of American Idol finalist Bo Bice, Jessie moved to NYC and soon after impressed renowned drummer, Omar Hakim, with her exceptional talent. He insisted she audition for the iconic disco band Chic, where she became a lead singer.

Jessie has toured the world with Lenny Kravitz, Duran Duran, Chic, Stevie Van Zandt and Kid Rock and has had the honor of singing with artists from all facets of the music industry; including Patti Labelle, Sir Elton John, Peter Gabriel, Sister Sledge, Musiq, the Pointer Sisters, Bebe Winans, Stevie Nicks and Eric Benet. She has performed live at prestigious venues such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the legendary Roskilde Rock Festival and the Grammys.

She currently leads the rock-soul group, Army of the Underdog, blending her soulful vocals with the fervor and intensity of gutteral, guitar – driven rock, creating a hybrid sound that is unique and exciting.
